Steamboat Springs - A Summer Vacation Destination

Steamboat Springs is a well known skiing destination in the hibernate, but there is also plenty to translate in the area during the summer months, being of the kind which there are a great number of open-air activities to enjoy.

Fish Creek Falls
For those lacking an easy Steamboat Springs mountain hike, there is lots of scenery to take in at the same time the Fish Creek Falls trail. The lodge-mile trail winds through Aspen tress on the way to a viewing kitchen-yard of a 280-foot waterfall. This is a convenient activity for families with young ones for the reason that of the short walking time to the falls. This trail does increase quite busy during the early afternoon, to such a degree it's best to go seasonable to mid morning.

Strawberry Park
Strawberry Park Hot Springs is a familiar destination for a bit of rest and recreation. Located about ten miles north of Steamboat Springs, Strawberry Park boasts regular hot spring pools that contain warmed mineral water. The water in these pools have power to reach well over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, that makes them much like a piquant tub. There is very little affected light here, so visiting in the first blush of the is the safest way to walk. Flashlights should be carried along granting that a night visit is planned.
