Whats the best way to travel long distance with cats?
Rudd
I just bought two new good size carriers. Any hints on the best way to travel with my little buggers? Should I make a small litter box to put in the cages? Or stop and put them in a litter box?
Climax
put small boxes in the cages, make sure they have plenty of water and a bit of food...not sure how far your traveling but if it is more than 8 hours I'd get a hotel room for exercise. Taking them out of the cages while on the road isn't a good idea. they might not like traveling and will run when you get them out
Orange Lake
If you plan on stopping at motels on your trip, have a litter box ready to go in the room with you. Don't feed them the morning of the trip, only give them water. You can get pills from your Vet to prevent them being upset. Ask about 'Ace'. Most of the cat carriers I've had would not have room for a litter box. Chances are they wouldn't use it anyhow. Be very careful opening their carrier doors, until you are safe inside and no way for them to escape. They'll be afraid and will run, if given a chance. Have a nice and safe trip.

My grandla has an RV. Her cats just curl up under the seats and sleep while they travel.

Why is it important to travel to other countries?
Wheatland
I have to write a persuasive essay about why it is important to travel to other countries. One sub-topic is that you get to experience another culture and lifestyle. I dont know why else. Any ideas would be appriciated!!!
Hillsborough
well people are racist, but how can u be racist/prejudice against a certain group without having been firsthand in their environment. for instance at the moment everyone is talking about America being bad ect with the war and everything but half these people saying things havnt ever been to America, its actually an amazing country even if it does have its faults (like every other country). also if you dont travel your not experiancing anything else outside your norm and going to have a fairly straight forward view of things, (this is a generalisation) but you widen your view of things by being in different places
St. Johns
To dispel prejudices. Once you are there you see how the people really live & get to immerse yourself in their everyday lives. Plus if things work out you can met some really cool people.
De Smet
well one reason is it helps to gain perspective on our own lives and culture to have other culture models to compare ourselves to.
Erwin
It is not important at all, the person has to first attend to his basic needs and have a good education and career to generate enough money to use for adventure

What are some examples of travel writing?
Kurtistown
I have a homework due tomorrow where we need to write a piece of travel writing to a place where we went before. I chose to write about Blue Mountain in Australia. The problem is that I don't know how to write it. We've read an example but I don't really get what should be written inside a travel writing text and how it should be written. Any help would be appreciated. Examples of travel writing is also good. Thanks!
Kell
Within it you should use the 5 senses, sight, sound, smell, touch and taste, so what things did you see such as nice views, strange people or things. Describe the smell of some things you remember smelling, the touch of something, those two are a little harder. The taste is easy, something you ate, food that the place is famous for for example. Sound, any music, animals or crowds you heard. The audiance will want to know all these things even if they dont know it, so they can see if its a place they would like to go. If any of the senses were unpleasent, you can make sure no one goes there, if you liked the place though, you can sort of advertise it using the senses, make people want to go and experience the sites, the food, the people...

How long will it take the signals to travel to another celphone that is 100 km away?
Lytton
If your voice is transmitted by your cellphone at the speed of sound, how long will it take the signals to travel to another celphone that is 100 km away? With solution please. Thanks!
Maza
First find the speed of sound and if is in meter per second then convert it into kilometers per second by factor label methord which I already did for you. speed of sound at sea level = 1 225.044 kilometers / hour now u have your speed and we have to find the time it takes to travel 100 km, so we will use the equation that speed equals distance over time, now u can solve for time. V=x/tt=x/v=100km/1225.044km/hr =0.0816 hour or 4.9 minutes

Benefits and disadvantages of online travel agencies
Otis
Once upon a time...Before the dawn of the information super highway, brick-and-mortar travel agencies were the key to booking travel arrangements and finding deals on airfare.
Durant
These agencies helped travelers plan trips and book flights, hotel and car rental reservations, and other travel necessities.
Gilbert
But as the Internet started to dominate all areas of commerce, travelers began to turn to online travel agencies instead of the brick-and-mortars.
Belle
These "virtual" agencies offered all the travel planning options and discounts conventional travel agencies offered without requiring travelers to leave their home.
Pine Ridge
No longer did travelers need to make appointments and meet face-to-face with a travel agent just to make travel arrangements.
Ubly
There was now a convenient online solution to booking travel arrangements and finding discounts on airfare. Reality CheckOnline travel agencies haven't completely decimated the conventional brick-and-mortar shops.
Winchester
Traditional travel agencies still do a great deal of business with travelers and are one viable solution to booking travel arrangements.
Kyle
However, as busy as our lives can be, online travel agencies do offer a quick and convenient solution to finding airline tickets without taking you away from home, or even work - and the brick-and-mortar shops realize this.
Ansted
Some conventional agencies are also hitting the web and establishing travel websites to cater to those individuals looking to quickly search for and book flights.
Logan
So even though online travel agencies haven't completely decimated the conventional travel agency industry, they have established a viable and convenient alternative to booking vacations, business trips, and other travel plans. Life Still Exists in the Brick-and-MortarsConventional travel agencies still command a large portion of the travel booking industry.
Bowersville
Their face-to-face service is what keeps them in business and, depending on the needs of the traveler, a more realistic solution to booking travel arrangements.
Rock Hill
When you book your travel plans through a brick-and-mortar travel agency, you're working with real people and if you're a frequent traveler, it's nice to have a "favored agent" to turn to for travel information and advice.
Dickens
With an online travel agency, you're simply interacting with a virtual interface that allows you to search for and book your own travel plans without ever speaking with a live person.
Troy
Many people prefer face-to-face interaction and would never even dream about using a travel website to book their travel plans.
McIntosh
There is still something to be said about personal service and the conventional travel agencies are capitalizing on it by offering personalized services and conveniences to travelers. So Where do We Go from Here? As you can see, there are benefits and disadvantage to both conventional and online travel agencies.
Brodhead
Each one offers its own experience and features that make it unique from the other and in favor with different people.
Foss
When it comes to selecting the best option for you, you merely need to ask yourself "What am I looking for in a travel agency?" The best way to answer this question is to check out a few online travel agencies, compare them to some brick-and-mortars, and see which ones have the savings, products, and services you desire..
