Whats the best way to travel long distance with cats?

Rudd I just bought two new good size carriers. Any hints on the best way to travel with my little buggers? Should I make a small litter box to put in the cages? Or stop and put them in a litter box? Climax put small boxes in the cages, make sure they have plenty of water and a bit of food...not sure how far your traveling but if it is more than 8 hours I'd get a hotel room for exercise. Don't feed them the morning of the trip, only give them water. You can get pills from your Vet to prevent them being upset. Ask about 'Ace'. Most of the cat carriers I've had would not have room for a litter box. Chances are they wouldn't use it anyhow. Be very careful opening their carrier doors, until you are safe inside and no way for them to escape. They'll be afraid and will run, if given a chance. Have a nice and safe trip. What are some really cheap ways to travel?

Jerome I want to find a cheap way to get from South Carolina to Detroit Michigan. I can't afford to drive or take a bus because I only have about 75 dollars. Is there any cheap ways to travel? I heard that sometimes people can travel on buses that are very very inexpensive. I desperitely need some ideas. Thank you so much. South Orange Might want to look into train line, which can often be cheaper than a bus. If that doesn't work, look into greyhound. Gross I'm not sure if I've ever heard of anyone getting from South Carolina to Detroit on $75 before. I think that your best bet is a cheap bus line, like Grey Hound. Other times, there are car pool groups that can be taken. Sometimes, these aren't the best option for safety reasons. Good Luck :)
