What are some things to do while on a trip to Erie PA?
Ok, so here it goes...My dad has raised me with the idea that college is EVERYTHING. I have struggled in school my entire life and I see NO reward for it yet. Every time I come home from school (college) these days, I find myself crying...or teary eyed at the very least. The first semester I went to college I failed one class. The 2nd semester I failed ALL classes. The 3rd semester, the same. Now I am on my 4th and, as you can probably guess, things aren&t traveling down the path to greatness. What do I want to major in? Ha ha! I haven&t the slightest clue!! I aspire to be a writer or a zoo keeper, both very low paying jobs that do not require a degree. Obviously with either one a college degree would prove to be a great boost! But as you&ve read, that&s not looking like a valuable option right now, considering the simple fact that I owe massive amounts of student loans having received nothing in return, except a cute little letter informing me that my financial aid will be on probation this semester. To be perfectly honest, I am terrified about what is going to happen to me. I promised myself forever that I was NOT going to live half my life behind a fast food counter while monotonously reciting "do you want fries with that." So, of course I can&t allow that to happen. But obviously, what I have been trained to see would be the only option for pure and unscathed happiness, is failing miserably. I used to think I was just plain dumb, but now I like to think I&m just not "book smart." What do you think I should do?? I&ve just about run out of options....Please help...P. S. I am a dog obedience instructor. I am working on certification but it&s not something I could do forever. I would love to be a cat trainer at a zoo. There is a 2 year hands-on college in LA, CA that would put me on my way to that. Then maybe work my way up from there??Thanks for your answers guys! I really need help with this decision. I have weighed my options so many times and am terrified of my outcome.
Is college right for me?
I have no idea what I want to be and I am going to be a senior in high school next year! So here is some stuff about me and maybe you can help:I like working with children I love working with animalsI love to help people I love my religion (Lutheran)I love to work with people I like to travel I want higher education NO DESK JOB I want something exciting and worth wild I want something that I wont get board doingThose are just a few of the key points. I also was wondering about going to a third world country to do mission work and stuff like that but can I make a career out of that, or is it mainly volunteer stuff. I looked up becoming a humanitarian but all I got was the Peace Corp. which I would love to do, but that is all volunteering, isn&t it? My biggest fear is getting board! I thought about being a teacher or nurse but that seemed like it would get boring after a while. All of the other "fun" stuff I am thinking about seems really out there! Like working at a zoo, being with the dolphins, or being a movie extra, or a movie/wildlife photographer or something else like that. I have no clue and no set direction! Please help me! Thanks so much, and God Bless
I Need Career Help Please!?
MALAYSIA??????????????????????????!!!!!!…I plan to go to Malaysia in August and I was wondering is it dangerous there for BLACK American men? Do the women there like BLACK American men? Is it cheap like Thailand and Philippines? Which is cheaper? What is the best city to tour and for vacation? I&ve been around the world and I know certain countries you need to take a pill like if anyone goes to Africa they need to take a Malaria pill. Do I need to take anything to go to Malaysia? What is all to do there? What is the weather like in August? Does it rain a lot? Do they have a nice zoo and aquarium? Are the people hospitable towards Americans? Do they speak English? I&m not a trouble maker nor I don&t drink smoke, and I&m not a party person but if something was to happen to me to where I went to jail will the US help me and be notified or is it like Mexico and Japan where the US can&t do anything about it? Certain countries have laws with the US where we are protected and the US can do something for us to get out of jail if an American was to get into trouble but I forget the name of this act. Also, someone just told me about they have a really bad flu virus or swine flu breakout in right now. Someone who is from there or who have experience please tell me which one should I visit and that&s worth my money to travel too.. Thanks
MALAYSIA??????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
I&m going to Chicago for the day tomorrow. What are some things I should do? I&ve heard that the Navy Pier is overrated and that I should skip it. Are the Sears Tower and John Hancock really worth the admission price? Any restaurants I should check out? I love Thai and Japanese food. Good restaurants with incredible drinks and a great view? I also want to visit the Chicago Botanical Gardens. Not interested in the Shedd Aquarium or any of the museums because I won&t have much time to explore them. I&ll probably be around downtown most of the day because of Millennium Park and the Magnificent Mile. Any cool places I should visit? What are your thoughts on Lincoln Park Zoo? A hit or miss? Advice on my travels would be greatly appreciated!
Things to do in Chicago?
Unforturely, many children in our communities can&t afford or travel to the zoo. I would like to know how can I bring perhaps a petting zoo to the community so the children can learn about animals they only have seen on TV
How can I bring the city zoo to our poor communities for our children?
if i want to go sight seeing in Chicago whats the best way to travel? i just went 071110 i drove my car, took forever to find a spot@ Lincoln park zoo; paid $25 for the pier...i even had to pay $5 for a spot at the flea market on jefferson & taylor! i plan to go again soon, should i take a cab, train, bus, walk, etc. with my car i have to worry about tickets/fines, dents, finding a parking spot. but i do have the convenience of leaving when and where i want. i plan on going to shedd, john hancock, field museum, adler planetarium, museum of science an industry...any other suggestions?

Hi, My brother(13, male), My mom (middle 40&s, female), and I (12, female) are going on a New York Trip. We&re from near Atlanta, and planning to drive by car to Washington D. C. and then New York. Our family is pretty middle-class, so we would prefer inexpensive costs, but we‘re willing to send money, just not huge money. It would also be nice if we could visit a lot of locations near each other, such as on one day we visit an area, and the next day we visit another area. Here are some details because we&ve never been to New York and we&d like a lot of guidance. Also, links sometimes get confusing and this computer redirects all links so it would be better if you could answer the question. Thanks in advance!!!Trip Dates:July14th-Leaving Atlanta, driving up to Washington D. C. to drop off grandparents for a package trip (arranged by travel agency)15th-Touring Washington D. C. (Again, any great places to eat/see/visit? Nothing boring, but must-sees would be great.)16th-Starting for New York, planning to arrive around Lunchtime-Freetime afterwards in New York17th-New York Sightseeing, Eating, visiting places, suggestions?18th-Touring new York-At around 3-4 Go back to Washington d. c.19th-Pick up grandparents and head back to Atlanta. Additional Questions:Is going to tourist-infested destinations a good choice? I would rather go to natives-picked places, because I&ve heard most of the natives choose to not visit the places suggested by travel agencys. For example, the Statue of Liberty. My mom, however, wants to visit tourist locations. Which do you think is a better choice? Should we get a mix? I&m willing to listen to both sides of this argument. How and where would we park our car? We might walk or drive, but personally I would prefer walking mostly. Can we take subways? Buses? Cabs? What would be the best choice? Food-Are there places with inexpensive prices, great quality, and good food? Is new York Pizza truly the best? Hotels/Motels/Places to stay for the nightWhat we want is a reasonably nice hotel for a reasonable price. If the price gets cheaper and the quality gets better, that’s also awesome. Weather-Does the weather do funny things up there? Should we pack extra clothes, umbrella, etc? Places I&ve heard about? If you’ve been here, could you clarify which ones are worth going to? And please do suggest more. Bronx ZooRockfeller CenterFulton MallCentury 21 Department StoreMetropolitan Museum of ArteTimes SquareRiver café( I’ve seen it on another Yahoo! Answers question, is this a good place?)Katz’ Deli (Once again, I’ve seen this on another answers question)And this is a side note, but what should I do to pass time going all the way up to New York? Any ideas? What is a nice area to visit?-Brooklyn-Bronx-Manhattan-other suggestions? I think I’ve covered about everything. I spent a long time writing this so I hope you will put your dedication in to helping our family trip. Thank you so much for reading this all, I know it spent a lot of your time. Thanks in advance(again)!!!
New York Trip! Natives, Please Help! :)?
1) Settling down with a family life with kids and days at the zoo, park, etc.2) A life filled with travelling to anywhere you ever want to go, all over the world. I&m struggling to choose which life I want to live.
Which life style would you choose?
Hughes begins this poem with the question, "What happens to a dream deferred?" Then, he proceeds to answer this question with a list of images (e. g. syrupy sweets and rotten meat).Dream Deferredby Langston HughesWhat happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry upLike a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore --And then run? Does it stink like rotten meat? Or crust and sugar over --Like a syrupy sweet? Maybe it just sagsLike a heavy load. Or does it explode? Create your own similar, short poem based on something you want to do, but someone won&t let you. Your poem should make at least 3 comparisons, using 3 strong images. Example Poem What happens when a teen can&t travel? Is it like a wild animal brought to the zoo, Caged and confused not knowing what to do? Will it be like a spring flower without water, That withers and dies as the weather gets hotter? Or maybe it&s like driving a car that runs out of gas, And having to watch all the other cars pass.
I need help writing a poem?
I know what we are to do but I don&t know where you&ll have to go to meet the people if they take you. I live in Georgia and I don&t have much money to travel to Cali so I really need to know.
