I finished school with no qualifications apart from a C in my GVNQ ICT and a C in Drama. i went to collage and studied a national diploma in photography, i did get my qualification but left early due to finance issues. I still have no idea what i want out of life, whether i should go travelling or go back into education. Being a barman since then really hasn&t helped any situation, and realise its time for a change. maybe if i went back and studied my maths and english this could really give me some kind of direction in life... what do you think? Also, its the fact that i dont actually have those two major qualifications. i was thinking if i did them again i would have a good chance in opening some doors? Another quick question... i understand to be apart of the police force, i will need my maths and english, but would else could i study to give me a good chance in joining them? cheers

Velocity is a certain magnitude and a direction, how can this value be negative. Would this mean it would be travelling into itself?

What is negative velocity?
I&ve been thinking about free will a lot these days... And here is what train of thought passed through my mind today...So all things that ever happened and will happen have been caused, are caused and will be caused by the interaction between atoms etc... And... It&s exactly like on a billiard table, if you know all the balls places, all the balls speed, all the balls masses and all the balls position on the table you could be able to predict exactly how they would interact... It&s the same with atoms, if you knew all the positions all the speeds all the directions in which they were traveling you could build a machine that would predict their exact movements... (including the ones in your brains and every action you would do would be completely predictable)But my question is this: Let&s say you build that machine that would predict everything... Is there anything that the machine would predict and you could choose to not do? I thought about this question for about 3-4 hours with a friend... We couldn&t come up with anything... I was working alongside police officers-I&m a paramedic-and, while they were helping us secure a patient, they got the following call: "BOL for an inmate who&s escaped from a work detail. It&s believed he&s taken the state van [she cited the registration number, which I feel uncomfortable repeating]. Direction of travel is unknown at this time."They had to take this call right away, or near as soon as possible. I&m just glad they were nearly done helping us. I wonder, w/ my ceaseless curiosity, what was it that sent most of them running.
