Does anyone work for Pilot travel Center?
Let me premise this question by stating that I am not a pilot. Every so often I am able to get a used copy of FLYING MAGAZINE and my question relates to the JUNE 2009 issue. IN the JUMPSEAT (page 63-66 ) section, Les Abend was the check airman on this flight and author of the column. On page 64 Les states, " Larry was attempting to to enter data into the left FMC. His finger was poised over the keypad"...etc. Next paragraph, quoting Les again, " I leaned over the center console and offered a suggestion." Larry was transitioning from being a SUPER 80 to the 757/767 series. He had already flown his 757 domestic OE and was now doing his international portion. My question(s) Is the FMC different between domestic and international flights? Was the training insufficient that Larry did not know how, or wasn&t taught how to operate the FMC? Do Super 80&s have them? Finally, what is ( and does ) the FMC do? Likewise the ACARS? computer? Thanks for any help and thank you for helping keep air travel so safe and comfortable! So why are the Big Health insurers against Canadian style Health insurance?
Ok, first off. My boss yells. At Everybody. She yells, screams and curses like a sailor while doing so. I feel like she&s harassing me, and that&s part of the reason i turned in my two weeks notice a day ago. She has told me more than once that i&m not allowed to talk to any of my coworkers while i&m on the clock, and i never do. i say hi to people when they walk by, but that&s it. She wrote me up for it and said that it&s not to happen again. Secondly, I&m diabetic. type one, insulin dependent. I use shots instead of a pump. I got low at work once, and i felt like crap. i was shaky, sweating, pale, and was going to pass out unless i had food. I explained this to her and she said " well, sucks for you, doesn&t it?" I&m pretty sure that alone can take her to court, because in oregon there are many laws about that. I don&t want to take her for just that though. She wouldn&t let me take the time to grab something to eat or drink so i could work normally instead she told me to go the fuck home and come back tomorrow or i don&t have a job. there has been instances that she&s screamed expletives at other coworkers in the back of the building, and people in the dining room ( i work at a pilot travel center, so there is not only the sound of a 24 hour gas station, but there is also the sounds of a 24 hour subway and 24 hour taco bell, which gets quite loud) heard her screaming and cursing at another employee. She flips over little things like we got super busy so we couldn&t sweep the floor by the time she came in. I was going to report her to the BBB, but it&s going to be a waste of time doing that. She also the store manager for subway and taco bell, and i know there is higher people than her, but they&re all at corporate and i have no way of contacting them. I&m at loss of what to do. The question is really should I get a lawyer and get something to compensate for the harassment of myself and other employees, and am I even in the right? Can i really do this? I live in Oregon, and have plenty of lawyers that would help me. i just want to know if i can really do this first before i try and waste my time. Please help me, just a little bit. If you guys can&t help, i&ll end up calling a lawyer and talking to them about it, and see if i can get a green light from them.

Is this a good resume( sorry i don&t know what to put down)?
I just got a call today for a interview at the Pilot Travel Centers. So I have a few questions for those of you who have worked there. First off what am I suppose to wear for the interview? Second if they like me will the drug test me the same day? 3rd How&s the pay for being a cashier? 4th What&s the dress code? Interview at Pilot Travel Centers?
I&m looking for a job in Carlisle, PA and my last two job&s ended because 1.it was a temp and 2. i had to go on bed-rest and that job was also a temp and can&t go back because they don&t have any openings. And now i&m having the hardest time getting a job and it&s also hard when i have to work around my husbands schedule which is from 2pm-10pm and he leaves the house at 12pm to be early because we live about 45 min away from Carlisle, PA. Here&s my work history:1.McDonald&s working at the front window, stocking, cooking fries, and cashiered part-time (was in school) and left because had to move to PA. 2 and 3. Pharo&s Truck Stop (which turned into) Shippensburg Travel Center/Plaza as the Fuel attendant full-time left because they were laying off people and cutting hours.4.Lowe&s as a cashier full-time temp, 5.Giant food stores as a cashier part-time temp and had to go on bed-rest at 6 months pregnant. And i&m working on getting my G. E.D. I&ve applied at target, petro&s stopping centers, pilot, giant again, kohls, flying j, friendly&s ice cream, and many more. Can someone please give me some advice?
